History Of Exceeding Limits

The Exceeding Limits Truck Club was found on April 20, 2002, by founders Robert Reinhardt of Long Island, Jon Dumonski of Connecticut, and Dave Pittman of New Jersey. The club was formed for the reason of wanting a group of people that shared the same interest in trucks and to go to car shows with. The founders met each other for the first time in Massachusetts at a meet, after having conversations about ideas over the internet. Then a club was formed called Xtreme Dreams, which was later found out to be a club that was already active. Later the club name was changed to Moving Violations. Moving violations grew rapidly from a small group on the east coast including the founders of E.L.T.C, to the islands of Hawaii. Within 6 months there were about 60 active members. The club’s rapid growth took a toll on the club and there were a lot of things that were felt still missing. The founders saw this and realized they wanted a club more family orientated than just a group of car guys, that all you knew about them were their user names online. So in spring of 2002 after kicking some names around, The Exceeding Limits Truck Club was formed.

Exceeding limits (E.L.T.C) was primarily formed to bring together people from all walks of life with one interest, trucks. Whether you are building a fully body dropped truck on air bags, going up with an 8’ lift or screaming down the quarter mile at 120 mph, this is the club to be in. There’s even a spot here for the person who can’t afford building up a show truck and just wants to chill. The club attends and competes in local car shows as well as out of state car shows. The club also takes part in a “Toys for Tots” run every year at Bald Hill, road rallies, cruise nights and local car meets. The club hosts barbeques and numerous parties for every occasion possible. This club was formed for learning purposes and maybe even to give somebody else a little bit of knowledge you may know, as well as for having fun and enjoying everyone’s company. With an estimated amount of 50 dedicated and hardcore members with every type of built truck and 5 chapters including L.I, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Ohio, and North East Ohio, this club has been growing rapidly since it was founded. We build friendships that last and are always willing to help each other out. To most this club is a second family, we cruise together, we build together and we live our lives together E.L.T.C 4Life.
