Towing !! 4 Months ago
So i'm in the market for a new vehicle. I've been looking; at Chevy & GMC Standard cab, shorts bed with the 5.3 V8 2WD. They seem to be in my price range.

But what i'm wondering would this be able to pull your standard 16 foot car trailer, with a mini truck (mine a 94 Ford Ranger standard cab)? Looking for some advice.

Thanks in advance

well i've seen it too but that it wouldn't be putting to much strain on the transmission.

i've been doing a bit a research really wasn't looking at the ford 150
but they have on the 2005-up regular cabs that have a third door on both sides which i think would be a pretty cool. but looks like there gonna be hard to find one thats not a white work truck with a long bed and a V8.

i pulled my ranger with a 16' trailer and a short bed regular cab f150. i wouldn't recommend to anybody to do that. if you are looking at an f15 or a chevy 1500 i'd make sure it has the v8 in it and an extended cab. you need the extra weight of the v8 and the extended cab to counter balance the weight of the trailer and whatever is on it. otherwise if you hit a hard enough bump or turn your trailer will be driving you, rather than the otherway around.
